Design & Technology
Children will have the opportunity to explore a range of existing products and design for purpose. Across each year, children will develop design solutions through the four key strands- design, make, evaluate and technical knowledge. In their time at Priory Infants, children will enjoy activities across the four key areas- mechanisms, cooking and nutrition, textiles and structures. A spiral curriculum provides the opportunities for children to revisit key strands and deepen knowledge and skills.
In Reception, children will also have daily access to design and build activities; provision is enhanced with construction and junk modelling invitations and outside activities incorporate den building and large scale construction.
