Eco-Schools

At Priory Infant School, we have just started our journey to become a fully-fledged Eco School as we believe it is paramount for our pupils to learn about the environment and how to protect it.

In 2022 we started to work through the seven steps framework required to be awarded the Eco School Green Flag. This process will benefit our pupils because it engages them in important environmental issues, it demonstrates to them that environmental actions can be enjoyable, social and rewarding. It teaches responsibility and generates a sense of community. It develops the skills and knowledge young people need to play an active role in protecting our environment now and throughout their lifetimes and it empowers them with the belief that they can have a positive impact on our planet.
