Priory Infant School

Remote Learning

We follow non-statutory guidance from the Department for Education on providing high quality remote education in cases where it is not possible, or is contrary to government guidance, for some or all children to attend school.

This information for parents is a summary of the provision that the school is making for remote learning.

Circumstances where it might not be possible for pupils to receive in person education fit into 2 broad categories:

  • school closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for pupils is restricted

  • individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but is able to learn

Priory School l will make its best endeavours to use a wide range of strategies for teaching and learning. These strategies will be designed to be appropriate for children’s ages, abilities and aptitudes and may include all or a combination of:

  • teaching (online lessons), through Oak National Academy
  • recommended, appropriate safe websites
  • home learning ideas/activities
